There is authority that goes with their office. We see in Jeremiah 23v 18 that to receive a prophecy as a prophet one must stand in the council of the Lord to see or to hear His word. Surely this is what they must claim to do, therefore if they truelly have then their utterings would be correct everytime. In other words they should not open their mouths till they are certain that they have heard from God Himself. The ‘test’ for this would be to see if what they have proclaimed comes to pass if it does not then they should be ‘killed’ (their words ignored) until such time as their prophecys start to be fulfilled. Enough smoke an mirrors all of us Christans want to hear from God for our personal lives and that of our nations but until these ‘prophets’ get their acts together they should be ignored. Each of us born again Christians has the fullness of Christ Col 2v9-10 surely we can hear for ourselves.
